CHILDREN:
The Mental Health Association serves the community in a number of ways. 504-HELP is a resource to parents seeking advice and referral as well as to teens themselves. Our Education and Training Department offer many workshops for professionals who work with children as well as providing mental health training to school personnel through cooperative programming with BOCES. When an unfortunate school tragedy occurs (death of a student or faculty member, suicide, etc.), the MHA responds to requests from the school for mental health resources and consultations.
In addition, the MHA sponsors specific programs that serve the interests of children. Click on the links at the left to learn more about: - Crisis Respite - Hospital Discharge Planning - The Terrace
